  • ● Posts Under 4800 Grade Pay: Audit Officer Helping in conducting audits of govt./public sector organizations. The in hand salary will be around 55,000.
  • ● Posts Under 4600 Grade Pay: (Inspector (Examiner) (CBEC)- Income Tax Inspector (CBDT)- Post of Assistants in all Govt. Ministries: (Central Vigilance Commission,) Assistant Section Officer (CSS), Assistant (Intelligence Bureau), Assistant (Ministry of Railway) , Inspector (Dept. of Post) etc. The in hand salary will be around 50,000.
  • ● Posts Under 4200 Grade Pay: Sub Inspectors (CBI), Divisional Accountant (CAG), Assistant (Other Ministries) Sub Inspectors (NIA), Statistical Investigator. The in hand salary will be around 46,000.
  • ● Posts Under 2800, 2400 Grade Pay : Compiler (Registrar General of India), Senior Secretariat Assistant, Accountant/ Junior Accountant (Offices under C&AG, CGA & others) , Tax Assistant (CBEC & CBDT) , Sub-Inspector (Central Bureau of Narcotics) etc. The in hand salary will be around 40,000.

Combined Graduate Level Examination:

Combined Graduate Level Examination (SSC – CGLE) is the most reputed graduate level exam conducted by SSC for group B & C posts of Ministries / Departments / Organizations of the Central Govt.

Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination:

SSC CHSL Exam is one of the most popular exams, next only to SSC CGL Exam, conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC). While the CGL Exam is for graduates for Group B and C posts, CHSL Exam is for intermediates, who have passed the 12th Class.

SSC CHSL Exam is primarily conducted for Lower Division Clerk (LDC) and Data Entry Operator posts.

Age Limit:

 18-27 years

The Selection process, comprises of Written exam and followed for Type/ Skill test. The Structure, scheme and syllabus for CHSL Written exam is given as follows.

Written Exam::

 All those applicants who successfully submit their applications before the last date will be called for a Written Exam provisionally. Applicants will have to Download the Call Letter / Admit cards, before appearing for the Exam.

The Written Exam, will have 200 Questions from 4 different sections with 50 Questions from each section. The Duration of Exam is of 2 hours only.

Exam Pattern:

  • Total Marks: 200 Marks
  • Total time allotted: 75 minutes
  • 1.  English (50 marks)
  • 2.  Quantitative (50 marks)
  • 3.  General Intelligence (50 marks)
  • 4.  General knowledge (50 marks)
  • Remember, there is negative marking and for that, SSC will deduct 0.50 marks for every wrong answer.

Multi Tasking Staff:

Multi Tasking Staff Exam is conducted by Staff Selection Commission for recruitment of dedicated and capable applicants for the different departments.

SSC MTS Exam 2017: Selection Process

  • Step I: Candidates will be shortlisted for the Paper-II on the basis of their performance in Paper-I.
  • Step II: Paper-II will only of qualifying nature. The cut-offs in Paper-I and qualifying marks in Paper-II may be different for vacancies in each State/UT will be fixed at the discretion of the Commission.
  • Step III: Candidates for each State/UT will be finally selected based on their performance in Paper-I, subject to their meeting basic qualifying standards fixed in Paper-II.
  • There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
