Central Armed Police Forces

The Union Public Service Commission conducts written examination for all recruitment of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).

Eligibility Criteria of CAPF is a set of mandatory conditions to be fulfilled by all the applicants at the time of form filling. Eligibility Criteria is a mix of conditions based on Nationality, Sex, Educational Qualifications, Physical Standards etc. All the candidates are required to fulfill the prescribed eligibility conditions else their applications will be rejected.

  • ● Both male and female aspirants are eligible for appointment to the post of Assistant Commandants.
  • ● Bachelor’s / Graduate degree from a recognised institute is an essential educational requirement.
  • ● The age of the applicant should lie between 20 – 25 years.
  • ● Candidates will have to possess the minimum physical standards as to be specified in the official notification.

The Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) (Hindi: केंद्रीयसशस्त्रपुलिसबल) refers to uniform nomenclature of five security forces in Indiaunder the authority of Ministry of Home Affairs. They are the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and SashastraSeemaBal (SSB).

Sub-Inspector in CAPFs: (Central Armed Police Forces):

The post carries pay scale of Rs 9300-34800 in Pay Band 2 with Grade Pay of Rs 4200 and is classified as Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.

Sub Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Police:

The post carries pay scale of Rs.9300-34800 in Pay Band 2 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4200 and is classified as Group ‘C’ by Delhi Police.

Assistant Sub-Inspector in CISF:

The post carries pay scale of Rs.5200-20200 in PB-2 with Grade Pay of Rs. 2800/- and is classified as Group ‘C’.

Essential Qualification:

Graduation from Any Recognized University.

Age Limit:

20-25 Years

Examination Will Comprise:

Written Examination in two phases, Physical Endurance Test, Medical Examination.
